Panderer-in-Chief

With all of the talk of the Clinton-McCain holiday gas tax proposal, it has really come down to two candidates who are pandering and trying to score political points versus the guy who is actually genuinely telling the truth and wishing to help this country's energy and economic crises.
I know that the campaign reads this, so I'll get right to the point. The people who realize that this holiday tax proposal is bogus are the people who will vote for Barack. The people who will buy this crap are the ones who will be swayed to believe the this proposal is helpful for them and that Hillary Clinton actually cares about their welfare. A savings of $28 over three months actually sounds good to some. They won't look at the aggregate loss to our infrastructure.
Here's my suggestion for the next few days: Barack must point out that not only is this proposal disingenuous and simply pandering, which he's already been doing, but that this proposal will not only fail because the vast majority of Congress and economists simply disagree with the proposal and will not vote for it, but also that the proposal will put thousands out of work in the process.
Additionally, I understand that Clinton's suggestion that she'll pay for the proposal with a windfall profits tax on oil companies is also disingenuous because she already knows that even if this were to happen, it couldn't possibly go into effect rapidly enough to pay for this summer's holiday gas tax losses, but that apparently she's already proposed a windfall profits tax on oil companies to pay for something else already. She can't double dip and use the profits tax for both things.
I'm presuming that we all know this already, but I'm just suggesting that the language coming from Barack must make a much stronger point. The media overall actually gets it, but the people who need to hear what a load of crap is being heaped on them do not. A couple of fabulous sound bites that can make the 5:00 and 11:00 (or 10:00) news cycles would really be very beneficial.
