What's Wrong With Being a Celebrity?

My friend, Mary sent me a blog tonight, and it has really helped me to synthesize some thoughts I've had since this ridiculous label has been bestowed on Barack. The accusation of being a celebrity and the comparison to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, along with the absurd and unfair mocking of Obama's suggestion that keeping one's tires inflated to proper pressure is somehow his complete energy policy has been really bugging me, and I realize that this parallel isn't exactly equal, but it has been reminding me of the Republican Party trying desperately to supress voting over the past couple of presidential elections.
